Matt Williams

Administrative Assistant

Blessings to you all!

I am proud to be the Administrative Assistant here at FUMC Clifton. I am a Baylor Film & Digital Media graduate and have worked as an editor for broadcast TV as well as for contract and commercial work. I am a well-versed specialist in video, utilizing my skills with multitasking and technology to keep up with the many day-to-day tasks here at the church.

In my hometown in Waco, I had grown closely with the United Methodist Church and what was then called the Boy Scouts. I am proud to use the Scout Law and Motto in my day to day life and would go on to attain my Eagle award in 2012. Years later, I had become administrative assistant for my hometown church as I was working part-time for a local TV station in 2019.

My career has taken me many places. For a semester in 2016, I had started an internship in New York City, where I begun graphic design work and social media. My journey in freelance took me back to Central Texas, working for advertising and TV in Austin, Dallas, and my hometown in Waco.

I had always loved the life behind the camera, I felt called to a role where I could serve in a more personal and meaningful way. Through a shared interest in media, I connected with Pastor Don and was grateful for the opportunity to join the staff at FUMC Clifton.

I am a big fan of soft rock, particularly the eras of Toto, Asia, and Chicago. Along with this is my love for retro video game consoles, particularly Sega Genesis and NES. While I am typically focused on my daily tasks, I am a very passionate person and pour my love into everything I do. As we all have journeys of our own, it is my hope that we can love and grow together.

May God bless you and keep you,

Matt
